An omnibus work of animation commemorating the hundredth anniversary of animated film in Japan. A compilation of sixteen fragments by just as much directors. The new century of animation is revealed Tokyo-like in a fragmented and shifty seductiveness.
Tokyo Loop came out of Image Forum’s desire to do something to celebrate the hundredth anniversary of Stuart Blackton’s animation Humorous Phases of Funny Faces (1906), considered by many the first publicly screened animated film.
