Regional Festivals: PAF Olomouc

Other Visions, the competition section of PAF animation festival aims to map out the situation concerning film and video in the Czech Republic. Since its origin in 2007, Other Visions has been furthering the acceptance of Czech contemporary audio-visual production, which lies on the boundaries of fine arts, video art and animation, and makes it more accessible and open to the public. Each year’s selection has been unique thanks to various interests of the curators who selected the ten nominated works – in 2013 the selection was made by the visual artist, director, pedagogue and member of the controversial art group RAFANI, David Kořínek.
