The Competition programmes are revealed!

When there’s 744 films to go through, one has to wait a little bit longer to find out which ones have been chosen to be a part of Animateka 2016. Today we can finally reveal this year’s Competition and Panorama programmes!

Let’s start with the main Competition programme: it consists of 34 films from Central and Eastern Europe, divided in 4 programmes. The European Student Competition is, as always, the one with the highest number of films competing - this year there’s 57 of them. The Elephant in Competition, a programme that focuses on animation shorts for children, consists of 31 films.

There was also a lot of great films that didn’t quite make it through, but we’d like to show them to our audience anyway. We are talking about the Panorama programmes, of course! The Eastern and Central European Panorama will present 44 films for adults, while The Elephant Panorama will show 17 films for children.
