Applications for 21st Animateka festival are now open!

The 21st edition of International Animated Film Festival Animateka is inviting authors of short animations to submit their films for the Main Competition Programme (short animated films from Central, Southern and Eastern Europe), The Elephant in Competition Programme (international program of short animated films for children) and European Young Talents Competition Programme (short student animated films).

There is also the VR@ANIMATEKA Competition Programme (international programme of animated VR works) taking place at Animateka once again! The competition is open to short animated projects made for VR, specifically to VR works in the VR (6DOF), VR (3DOF), Interactive 360°, and 360° Video format (the duration of which must not exceed 30 minutes of total running time per project).

The festival will take place from 2 December to 8 December 2024.

As in the past years, the submission process can be done online.

The deadline for submissions is July 15th, 2024.

The films must be completed in 2023 or 2024. Films previously screened at the Animateka festival are not eligible.
