AnimaWeb - the voting will close on December 12th 2009 at 12:00 a.m

This year Animateka goes web again with a special competition! The Animateka AnimaWeb Contest is a web competition for computer made short web animation films. We wish to inspire young, aspiring artists from Eastern and Central Europe to take on animation and boost the production of animation film in our region. The Animateka AnimaWeb Contest will take place until the end of the 6th edition of Animateka International Animation Film Festival. The winning film will be selected by the audience through internet voting. The winner will be announced on the last day of the festival and invited as guest to the 7th Animateka festival edition in 2010.

Voting will close on December 12th 2009, at 12:00 a.m.

Katja Tukiainen's Good Heavens

Opening on Tuesday December 8th at 22.00

Katja Tukiainen exhibits her Good Heavens II (Hyvät Hyssykät II) graphic novel in Ljubljana December 2009. She transforms the KUD gallery into a realm of Hyvät Hyssykät, which is the name of the main character of her graphic novels since year 1992.

Animateka's Animated Boutique

Apart from everything Animateka festival has to offer in the week between December 7th and 13th, Kinodvor will once again host "Animateka's Boutique" with a rich and colourful collection of animation books, flipbooks, DVDs, and comics, as well as the new edition of Animateka T-shirts, and silkscreen printed posters by this year's Artist in Residence and author of the festival 09' visual image, Matti Hagelberg.
