This year International Animated Film Festival Animateka goes web again with a special competition! The Animateka AnimaWeb Contest is a web competition for computer made short web animation films. We wish to inspire young, aspiring artists from Central and Eastern Europe to take on animation and boost the production of animation film in our region. The Animateka AnimaWeb Contest will take place until the end of the 6th edition of Animateka Festival.

We proudly announce the Competition and Panorama Programmes of the 6th Animateka International Animated Film Festival. 43 films were selected for the official Competition Programme, the international Elephant in Competition will present 25 films, while Eastern and Central European Panorama will include 21.

The sixth edition of Animateka International Animated Film Festival is opening the Call for short animated films in the Regional Competition Programme and the International Children’s Programme Elephant. Between December 7th and 13th of 2009 the animated images will once again come to life on the screen of cinema Kinodvor in Ljubljana, while the cinema’s gallery will host an exhibition of original drawings by this year’s Artist in Residence, the Finnish author Matti Hagelberg. You can fill out the entry form and send your film in for festival competition until September 15th (please also read the festival rules and regulations). The Call for Animateka AnimaWeb Contest - a web competition for computer made short animation films - will be announced shortly. |
