Hungry & Lost

Each meal voucher is worth 6 EUR. You may use more to pay for a single meal, but please be advised that restaurants do not return change.
In other words: if your meal costs 8 EUR we recommend using one voucher and paying the two extra Euros out of pocket (unless you’re feeling in the mood for a 4 EUR tip).

Open daily 10.00–19.00, Mondays closed

Boris Labbé: The Fall, Originals
28th November  – 13th January, Kinodvor Gallery, Kolodvorska ulica 13

Inspired by Dante, Bosch, Brueghel, Botticelli or Goya, The Fall, traces the creation of Hell. In the animated film made from 3,500 Indian ink and watercolor drawings, scanned, and assembled digitally, we slide from one teeming tableau to another. The animation is based on repetitive motifs of plants, animals, humans, and monsters who are in perpetual motion.

25th November – 25th December, TAM-TAM Street Gallery, in front of Figovec Restaurant

Animateka asked artists to send in their messages and visions on the theme “Animate the future”. Their work criticizes the impacts of consumerism on the environment: come see 18 animated posters that come to life with augmented reality.

2 – 11 December, DLUL Gallery, Breg 22

Born in the land of the Goldhorn (Bohinj, Slovenia), Lea Vučko is the director and animator behind the animated short The Legend of Goldhorn. From sketches and research into real locations, to plans and the storyboard… It took four years to bring to life, in just under 14 minutes, the local myth that has followed Lea since childhood.

28 November – 4 December, Slovenian Cinematheque, Miklošičeva 28

A mouse gets trapped in an old truckle of cheese. Busy munching its soft core, he forgets about his famished friend outside. Meanwhile, the cat is waiting…
The animated short film Mouse House was directed and animated by Timon Leder, a Slovenian filmmaker who has devoted his time and energy to animation from a very early age. He often uses animal characters to address moral and social issues, and his latest animated short, Mouse House, is no exception.

29 November – 3 December, Hall DD Tabor, Kotnikova 4
