Article 1

In the process of our cooperation, you entrust us with data, part of which is categorized as personal data and which we handle with special care. Part of the data is created automatically when you are using our website.

The bases for the processing of your personal data can be classified into the following groups:

– processing which you voluntarily consent to by signing up for the Animateka Newsletter as part of our cooperation;
– data processing based on your visit to our website;
– data processing based on the submission of your film to the Animateka international festival;
– data processing based on the registration form for the AnimatekaPRO event.

Processing of personal data related to registering for the Animateka Newsletter

The e-mail address you provide when registering for the Animateka Newsletter is sent to the Association. Based on your consent given when registering for the Animateka Newsletter, the Association will keep you informed about its events, cooperation opportunities or press releases. For this purpose, we collect and process the following personal data: e-mail address. As the controller of personal data, the Association respects your privacy and undertakes to carefully protect your e-mail address and not to pass it on to a third party without your consent or to use it for purposes other than those for which the personal data was provided. The Association processes personal data in accordance with the requirements of applicable European and national legislation on personal data protection.

Processing of personal data of website visitors

Personal data of visitors to the Animateka website are processed during their visit and used for advanced online advertising and web analytics. Whenever possible, we use anonymized data for this purpose. You can avoid the processing of personal data by using appropriate cookies and plug-ins settings when visiting the website or applying appropriate settings for the use of cookies in the web browser you are using.

Processing of personal data when registering your film for the Animateka International Festival

For this purpose, we collect and process the following personal data of the applicant: name and surname, e-mail address, country, city and telephone number. As the controller of personal data, the Association respects your privacy and undertakes to carefully protect your personal data and not to pass it on to a third party without your consent or to use it for purposes other than those for which the personal data was provided. The Association processes personal data in accordance with the requirements of applicable European and national legislation on personal data protection.

Processing of personal data when registering for the AnimatekaPRO event

For this purpose, we collect and process the following personal data of the applicant: name and surname, e-mail address, country, city and telephone number. As the controller of personal data, the Association respects your privacy and undertakes to carefully protect your personal data and not to pass it on to a third party without your consent or to use it for purposes other than those for which the personal data was provided. The Association processes personal data in accordance with the requirements of applicable European and national legislation on personal data protection.

Article 2

The data retention period is determined by the individual data category. We keep the data for the maximum period of time necessary to achieve the purpose for which the data has been collected or further processed, or until the expiry of the period for the fulfilment of obligations or the legally prescribed retention period.

We use the Mailchimp online platform to store e-mail addresses collected through registration for the Animateka Newsletter. In its General Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, the Mailchimp online platform ensures compliance with the rules set out in the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and confirms that it has obtained the certificate of conformity with the EU-US Privacy Shield Framework.

We use our own online platform to store your data collected upon registering for the Animateka International Festival and / or AnimatekaPRO. We ensure the security of your data with the most advanced technical services and protocols. All the collected data is kept in Slovenia.

At the end of the retention period, your data will be deleted, destroyed, blocked or anonymized, unless otherwise provided by law for each type of data.

Article 3

Individuals may request the Association to enable them access to personal data, correction, deletion or restriction of the processing of your personal data. You have the right to object to the processing and transferability of your personal data. You can exercise this right with a written request, which you send to the address of the Association or via e-mail to the address website@animateka.si. We will decide on your request within one month of receiving it. In case of complexity and a large number of requests, the deadline may be extended by a maximum of two additional months, of which you will be notified.

Article 4

Upon subscribing to the Animateka Newsletter, we enable you to have control over the processing of your data: in each message sent to you, we provide you with access to the record of your data, which you can supplement or change. It is important for successful cooperation that your data is accurate, therefore, we recommend that you inform us about any changes or change them in the application by yourself.

Upon registering for the Animateka international festival and / or AnimatekaPRO, you have the right to request a copy of the information we keep about you. If you want a copy of some or all of your personal information, please send a written request to the address of the Association or by e-mail to website@animateka.si. Providing information may take several days.

We want to ensure that your personal information is accurate and up to date. You may request that we correct or remove the information you believe is inaccurate.

You have the right to request that we stop processing your personal data;
You have the right to request that we no longer send you messages from the Association;
You have the right to correct any personal information we hold that is incorrect;
You have the right to request that we delete your personal information;
You have the right to request that we restrict data processing activities.
