Explore how embracing limitations can open up creative possibilities in storytelling and stop-motion animation.<\/p>\n

Stop-motion animation director Juan Pablo Zaramella invites participants into his creative process, sharing both narrative and technical approaches to bring stories to life. Centered on the theme ‘Borderless,’ the workshop explores how limitations\u2014whether material, technical, or narrative\u2014can become triggers to new ways of thinking and making. Participants will experiment with stop-motion techniques, where independent hands-on approaches, inventive solutions and diverse methods are encouraged.[\/vc_column_text][vc_separator][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text]About the tutor<\/strong><\/p>\n

Juan Pablo Zaramella is a director, illustrator and animator from Argentina specialising in stop motion and mixed-media films.\u00a0After his graduation from the Instituto de Arte Cinematogr\u00e1fico de Avellaneda (IDAC) as an Animation Director, he started directing and producing his own films. Between 1998 and 2005 he also worked as an illustrator, winning several international awards from the Society of News Design.<\/p>\n

He has made 10 independent shorts, which were awarded around the world.\u00a0In 2010, the Annecy International Animation Festival presented a special program with all his works. His film\u00a0Luminaris<\/em>\u00a0has won 328 awards, setting the Guinness World Record for the Most Awarded Short in 2018. His last short,\u00a0Passenger<\/em>, was presented during the closing ceremony at Annecy 2022, winning many important recognitions like the Audience Award at ITFS Stuttgart. He is currently developing a feature film in stop motion with puppets, called\u00a0I Am Nina<\/em>.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/2″][vc_single_image image=”26072″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center”][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator][vc_column_text]Animation Hub is part of Official programme of GO!2025 Nova Gorica Gorizia.
