Pierre-Luc Granjon, the 2025 Animateka artist-in-residence, is a multidisciplinary artist and filmmaker whose work in animation and graphic design has been inspiring audiences for more than 25 years. The exhibition at the Kinodvor Gallery offers an insight into his film and visual art projects alike, tracing the artist’s creative journey, an amalgam of unflagging visual and narrative exploration. Inviting us into his home or studio, the artist shares his creative spaces and work methods, offering a glimpse into his creative life and how he approaches different animation techniques. The display highlights his achievements in both filmmaking and visual art. Both areas provide a portal into his imaginary worlds, which draw inspiration from childhood while laying bare the strangeness and cruelty of the world of adults.
