Bref International Short Film Festival held its first edition in Aosta in April 2025. The aim of the festival, set in the week of the celebration of the Italian liberation from nazi-fascism, is to share stories about resistance, antifascism and social justice. In the special program created for the Animateka festival, the rallying cry is ‘fight back’!
Resistance in this program comes in many forms: we will learn about communities organizing to create a shared garden to fight food insecurity, we’ll see some rich ass kicked, and stand against social injustice, racism, sexism and animal abuse. With a dose of laughter too, because we need that in this crazy crazy world.
