Kinotrip’s Best of the World
Kinodvor, 5.12.2025 at 17:00
Length: 75′
Fascists and the Spanish Civil War are ancient history. Or are they? Welcome to the future! We use apps to lose weight and measure our carbon footprint, while dreaming of a life unhindered by the current economic crisis. What do you do when capitalism completely messes up your sense of time? You can hang out with you neighbours and family while they are still with us. Or you can write a whole new reality where you are champions in every possible sport and saviours of the human race. The past and the present, mania and sadness, closeness and loneliness. All this and much more is covered in this year’s selection of eight animated shorts, chosen by the members of this year’s Kinotrip team.

Animated documentaries I
Slovene Cinematheque, 4.12.2025 at 15:00
Length: 72′
The programme brings together seven outstanding animated documentary shorts that share personal stories and use creative animated approaches to reveal real-life experiences of people from different parts of the world. Addressing troubled family backgrounds, exploring sexuality and relationships, dealing with pain, questions of identity and social norms—each film offers a candid, sometimes painful, sometimes humorous insight into the human experience. Here, animation is not just a form of expression; it is a way of making the unspeakable, intimate, and emotional visible.
